Experienced attacking midfielder Erisa Keith Ssekisambu has left Startimes Uganda premier league club KCCA FC following the expiry of his contract.
The Ex-Vipers SC and SC Villa player spent one season with the Kasasiro boys after signing on a free transfer from Kenyan giants Gor Mahia.
His contract with the 13-time league champions expired at the end of last season and the club’s head of communication confirmed his departure during their weekly KCCA FC TV show on Sanyuka.
“Ssekisambu’s contract has expired and has not taken up the offer of a new contract and has therefore left the club,” The club’s head of communication confirmed .
Reports indicate that KCCA FC were keen to keep Ssekisambu at the club and tried to negotiate new terms with one of their last season’s key men.
However, talks didn’t materialise and the attacking midfielder is now off in search of a fresh challenge.
A couple of Uganda top flight clubs are reportedly interested in securing his services as well as clubs in thee diaspora.
Ssekisambu becomes the seventh player to officially leave the Mike Mutebi coached side after the departure of Jackson Nunda, Jamil Malyamungu, Tom Ikara, Mike Mutyaba, Eric Ssenjobe and Mustafa Kizza.
