Copa Coca Cola National Schools Tournament: Mwiiri skipper Mudhasi optimistic of a better perfomace at maiden national schools tournament

Busoga Collage Mwiiri recently qualified for the Copa coca cola national schools championship for the first time in more than 18 years.

With preparations getting high each day that passes, skipper Ian Mudhasi is hopefull they are not only going to participate but to compete thus targeting a quarter final berth.

Speaking to this website in an exclusive interview the soft spoken forward asserted,

“I feel so happy for leading my school to the biggest schools’ tournament after missing out for over 18 years and as a school we are not going to just participate but rather compete and we want to atleast reach the quarter finals”.

When asked about the feeling of playing in the biggest schools tournament in the Pearl of Africa,

“It is a fantastic feeling as this tournament will give us chance to showcase out talent and abilities and get a chance to be spotted by different scouts who always come through”,

he further asserted.

Brief details about Mudhasi.

Ian Mudhasi is an 18 year old student currently in s5 Arts at Busoga Collage Mwiiri offering HGArt/IT.

Current team: Yeager Soccer Academy Nsambya

Role Modles: Emmanuel Okwi, Julius Poloto, Lionel Messi.

Foot used: Right

Strength: Dribbling, Shooting, scoring.

Best Moment: Scoring two goals in the regional nationals that guided Mwiiri to the final Copa Coca Cola tournament that will take place next month in Jinja.

Coaches: Robert Onyango, Hudson Lwanga.

Target in five years: Playing in one of the big teams in the Uganda Premier League.
