Express FC red-hot Eric Kambale, athlete Jacob Kiplimo, Basketballer Aden Faisol and hockey star Thomas Opio have on Tuesday morning been voted Fortbet real star bests for the month of May at route256 lounge, Lugogo.

Kambale who is currently bedridden with malaria beat teammate and custodian Mathias Muwanga and URA FC sharp shooter Steven Mukwala to the gong.

Kambale scored eight goals in the six Uganda Premier League games he played for the Red Eagles in this ending. He scored in Express wins against Police (2-0), a hat-trick against Kyetume (3-2), a brace against Kitara (4-0) and a goal against UPDF (1-0) and Busoga United (4-0) respectively.

Addressing the media, award chairman Isaac Mukasa said,

Isaac Mwesigwa Express FC CEO who also represented Kambale at the event had this to say,

“Thanks to the award organizers for the special invitation, first to talk about my team Express, we are not here by luck but we planned for it and many around here can bare witness and I urge all other clubs to keep working hard as we promote the game.

Canaan Bulls (also award sponsors) representative Abdallah Kabaale said,

“We are really pleased to be behind this and indeed the awards have changed our image positively.

Chief guest Herman Olimi from the Uganda tourism board was left impressed with the organizers of the awards and promised to join the ever growing sponsors on board.

“Iam impressed with these awards and all I can tell you is I have seen all that is happening and I am going to take back the message to by superiors to ensure we come on board and support our own.”

Other winners on the morning were Thomas Opio (Hockey) Jacob Kiplimo (Athletics), Aden Faisol (Basketball).
