Ugandan international defender Savio Kabugo put up a great display as his AS Vita side gunned down Dauphins Noir 0-3 away in Goma in the Linfoot Ligue1 on Thursday.
Jesus Moloko (44) and a late Francis Kazadi brace (75, 77) gifted the Kinshasa based side with the precious victory.
It was Kabugo’s seventh match for Vita since joining in at the start of this year from Ugandan sleeping giants SC Villa winning all with only one goal conceeded.
The result took Vita on 65 points in the first place with 24 games played, 2 points ahead of TP Mazembe who still have two games in hand.
Vita will return into action tomorrow (Sunday) with an away encounter against Nyuki with head coach Florent Ibeng hopeful about picking up maximum points.
