Bernard Muwanga has finally cleared the air over his transfer to Kyetume FC saying he is unaware of anything and was surprised to see the news making rounds all over social media.
Kyetume FC towards the end of last week took to their official Facebook page and announced the Cranes defender on a one year contract a situation that puzzled Bright Stars top officials and the player who termed it as false.
“I am still a Bright Stars FC player with a running contract for two years and infact I was also surprised to see the news on the Kyetume FC Facebook page.”
He told this website in an exclusive interview.
Muwanga however confessed being approached by the Mukono based side.
“It’s true Kyetume approached me but we never agreed on anything.”
Last season, Muwanga who is a legend at Bright Stars played for Proline FC on loan from KCCA FC FC and later Bright Stars towards the end of the season that was halted by the pandemic covid-19.
After the season, KCCA FC handed him his release letter and was reportedly on the radars of Vipers SC through their head coach Fred Kajoba.
