Kabugo seals foreign move on birthday

Birthdays are those days were one would wish to enjoy to the fullest, have a blast with their dear ones, recieve gifts, pop champagne, mention it all.

To Ugandan International defender Savio Kabugo, 20th January that also happens to be his birthday in 2022 will forever remain as one of his memorable one as he recieved the best gift of sealing a foreign move.

In what he terms as a come back transfer, Kabugo completed his move to Botswana Premier League champions Jwaneng Galaxy on a one season contract with an option of extension.

“It’s the best birthday present I got and I must say a big thank you to the Almighty God for this move that I take as a rejuvenation in my career that has been of ups and downs.”

“I want to use my experience to help the club achieve it’s goals together with my teammates as well as them lifting a step further as I continue chasing my dreams.”

Kabugo who was part of the Proline FC team in the Big League last season flew out of the country recently to Botswana and had an impressive short trial stint before completing his move.

His main task will be helping out the team in the CAF champions League were they are placed in group C along Tunisian giants ES Tunis, Etoile Du Sahel and Algerian side CR Belzoguid.

Jwaneng that was founded in 2014 becomes his third foreign club after AS Vita of DRC and Sebeta FC of Ethiopia.

They host their games at the 2000 seater Galaxy stadium in the City of Jwaneng, Botswana.
