Kateregga open to UPL return

Allan Kateregga is currently a free agent after parting ways with Iraq side Erbil FC recently Just after one year since he joined.

The “Dancing Rasta” as profoundly referred to in the football circles while recovering from a knee injury, he is also plotting a next move and has not ruled out a return to the Uganda Premier League if a deal came.

Speaking to Bigwhale sports in an interview he said,

“It’s every player’s wish to be comfortably settled in at a club but at the moment that’s not the case with me after parting ways with Erbil.”

“I am currently nursing a knee Injury I sustained while on national duty in Dubai and at the same time plotting my next move and Incase a chance to play home in the UPL came I would grab it and further use it to rebuild my self.”

He added.

Kateregga last featured in the Uganda Premier League In 2017 at KCCA FC on a short loan from Kenyan side AFC Leopards and left many yearning to see him more following decent displays.

Before joining Erbil in 2019, Wakiso Giants was reportedly interested in his services.

He has previously featured for the now defunct Sports club Victoria University, Tusker FC, Cape Town City, Maritzburg United, to mention but a few.

He was also part of the Uganda Cranes team at the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt.
