Luwagga nets brace in Israel, Ssenkatuka’s Mogreb Tetouan falls in Morocco as Mugabi’s Motherwell registers second season point

Another weekend full of action it was for a number of Ugandan players in the diaspora as they registered different results but do you know how they performed?

As usual Ronnie Lusulire followed them up to find out who was in and who was out.

Upon resumption of the preseason, the Uganda Cranes forward is still upto his words as he netted a brace as his Hapoel Kfar Saba side defeated Maccabi Petach-Tikva 4-1 away in the Israel Toto cup Ligat.

Elsewhere, defender Timothy Awany wasn’t in the match day squad as his Ashdod FC side lost 2-0 against Beitar Jerusalem in the same cup. New signing Bayo Fahad is still in self isolation after arriving last week in Israel.

In the Morrocan Botola Pro league, forward Nelson Ssenkatuka didn’t feature as his Mogreb Tetouan side lost 1-2 at home to 10-man Hassania Agadir.

In the Scottish Premier League, Bevis Mugabi played full time in central defence as his Motherwell FC side drew goalless at Hibernia FC to pick up their second season point from four games.

Meanwhile in Egypt, Derrick Nsibambi played 66 minutes before getting off for Ahmed Homos as his Smouha SC side drew 1-1 with Arab Contractors on Thursday.

Midfielder Khalid Aucho played 75 minutes before paving way for defender Mohammad Desouki as his Misr El Makkasa lost 1-0 to Zamalek SC on Saturday.

Allan Kyambadde wasn’t in the match day squad as his El Gouna side drew 1-1 while Emmanuel Okwi’s Al Ittihad. Okwi wasn’t in the squad as well as he is currently in Uganda.

Injured Abdu Lumala wasn’t in the match day squad as his Pyramids FC side drew 2-2 against El Gaish.

In the South African Premier Soccer League, Dennis Masinde Onyango was in goal as his Mamelodi Sundowns drew 1-1 with Highlands Park on Friday to paralise their chances of defending the championship while midfielder Moses Waiswa wasn’t in the match day squad as his Super Sport United side drew 1-1 at home to Bloemfontein Celtic.

Elsewhere, winger Martin Kizza and his Royal Eagles side lost 1-0 to TS Galaxy FC in the Glad Africa Championship in South Africa.

In Czech Republic, Isaac Muleme played full-time as his Viktoria Zizkov side cruised 4-0 past Cesky Lev Union Beroun in the Czech MOL Cup.

Meanwhile in the Swedish Allsvenskun, Ronald Mukiibi came off the bench in the 84th minute replacing left back Kalpi Outtara as Ostersunds FK secured a 1-0 away win over AIK. Another Ugandan defender Isak Ssewankambo featured full time for Ostersunds.

Forward Alexis Bbakka wasn’t in the match day squad due to injury as his Umea FC side lost 2-0 at Vasteras SK in the Swedish Suppretan.

Patrick Mulyanti was in as his IFK Amal lost 5-0 to Vanersborgs FK in the Swedish Vanersvallen Nord.

Striker Viola Nambi came off the bench in the 46th minute as her Vaxjo DFF side lost 2-0 to Vittsjo GIK in the Swedish women’s top-flight league on Sunday while

Ritah Kivumbi was substituted for Polish midfielder Patrycja Jerzak as Mallbackens IF lost 1-0 to Jitex in the Swedish Elitettan. Last week on Wednesday, Kivumbi had scored her fifth goal of the season as they beat Lidkoping 3-0.

In the Estonia Meistrilliga, forward Edrisa Lubega started before going off in the 69th minute as his Paide Linammeskond side beat Tulevik 3-1 away from home.
