Lanky forward Derrick Nsibambi got off the mark at his Smouha SC side in a game they lost 2-3 to Wadi Degla at the Border Guard Stadium in Alexandria last friday in the Egyptian Premier League match day 27.
Egyptian legend and Smouha head coach Hossam Hassan handed Nsibambi a starting berth and this paid off in the 52nd minute when he cancled out Ibrahim Ndiaye 21st minute opener to level matters.
Ibrahim Ndiaye netted his second in the 63rd minute and Hossam Arafat put the final nail in the Smouha coffin before Hossan Hassan scored the second for the hosts in stoppage time.
I feel bad that we lost but again I am happy for scoring my first goal and hope to score more goals to help the team survive relegation”.
He said after the encounter.
Since joining in from KCCA FC last year, Nsibambi has featured 17 times out of 27 games this season with two yellow card to his name.
