Stanbic Uganda Cup: Vipers-Police set for first semi final duel

No more announcement as all is set for the Stanbic Uganda cup semi finals.

The first tie will see Vipers SC tussle it out with Police FC on Tuesday 21st September at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

In a pre-match press conference held at FUFA house, Mengo, both coaches Marcelo Cardoso (Vipers’assistant coach) and Abdallah Mubiru expressed readiness for the highly anticipated tie.

“We are far from 100% In terms of fitness but with the players dedication in training, their is a big improvement for the time we have been with them and we believe we are ready to play our opponents Police FC.”

Expressed Cardoso.

On the other side, his counterpart Mubiru promised to put up a good show despite little training time due to COVID-19.

“We have not got enough preparations due to COVID-19 but we won’t give it as an excuse. We are ready and set for the game against Vipers and we are ready to progress to the finals.”

He stated.

In a one legged tie, the winner will progress to the finals and will await the winner between Express FC and Bul FC who play on Thursday 23rd at the same venue.
